Illarion!
Illarion
http://illarion.org/general/us_startpage.php
Ok, quite frankly I had a hard time with this game. Great (kinda) start, right? Illarion is an mmorpg that really focuses on... role playing. All the players on their are have fantasy-oriented names, and talk in fantasy oriented ways. Do you want to be a bartender? Ok! Let us sit around the crackling fire, sipping ale, and reminiscing about the days of the war... Oh forget it. As far as I have seen there are 17 people online. Grreeaaatttt. Plus, how do you expect to keep people under control, and actually have names like Arator, and speak like, "Hail, fellow friend!" You be more likely to see "Hay guyz wh3re r teh g1rlz?"- And then see them get banned from the dictatorship of "THY SHALL TALKTH IN A MEDIVIEL MANNERTHTHTH". Yeah. I think I saw one guy in my days with that game. The tutorial was quite nice, as it showed you how to play the game. Arrow keys to more, and you actually type hello to talk to npcs- quite nice to see something like that in -newer- games like this. You could optionally take training for the many skills- carpentry, mining, tailoring, to name a small few. To me, it does not seem worth the time, as gathering the supplies might prove too hard and repetitive for your liking. Also... the combat sucks- well, because it wasn't made for combat- it was made for role playing. With 17 people. Oh yes.
All in all... if you like role playing... with 17 people... and overarching admins that will ban you at hi, then... this game is still not for you. Unless you like being dropped into a world with absolutely no path to follow... well I guess this game is for you. I couldn't even find how to get to level 10! Wait... are there even levels?!
Like uh... 6/20?

Illutia!
Illutia
http://www.illutia.com/
Ah, the first game! My friends and I decided to start from the middle, and go one up, then one down from the start. This lucky game was well, lucky enough to be smack dab in the middle! Illutia is a 2D top down (I think that's what it is) mmorpg. Filled with little anime characters, and humorous items, I found it to be quite awkward. Why I say that? Well, It didn't come like that at first. You start out on an island, and learn the tricks of the trade. That part was all well and good. Well, when I was transported to Ipscus ( There are 2 starter towns) everything went weird. I was in the town, and had not a clue on what the heck to do. So I start to walk around town, looking for quests. I see people... with quests! I go to get a quest... I can't. To most of the quests at that. Well, okay then... I guess I'll go kill stuff. I see a TON of level 2 cats so I decide to kill one (against my cat loving nature) Well, if I remember right, I got out of the fight with 2 health left. Wtf?! I'm level 4, and the cat almost killed me? Well, to make a long story short, the fighting is boring, and slow (health reg. is super slow). Around level 5, I'm looking around for these so called classes. Well, after some good old research on the web, I find that if you search around town, you can find the class trainers. I decide to become a 'knave' (the game's thief/assassin). Well, not only did the class do absolutely nothing, I just wasted 200 gold. Oh wait! Low and behold, you can buy skills!!!!.... that do next to nothing. Oh, and in my whole exp. of the game, I saw two players. Wow, great chat. All in all, I was glad to hit level 10 (btw, the exp bar is really screwed up- the number goes down, the bar goes up?) and delete the game.
All in all, I wouldn't recommend that game to anyone, unless they have the time to really understand the game, and get into it. If so, you may as well, because it is a small download.

How this shindig goes down :)
Ok, so I forgot to mention how I'm gonna do this. First, I'm gonna well, download the game, and play. When I'm in, I will try a couple different systems (e.g. Melee, range, magik), and also attempt to get to level 10 or higher. I'll also check the chat methods, and well... whatever the game throws at me! In the end, I'll say if I liked it or not, and give it something out of 20. Why 20?
Cuz I feel like it.
